If you’re interested to know how Google “understands” the page you’re on, touch and hold the home button (circle). Google Assistant will pop up. Tap “What’s on my screen?” and observe the modules that are returned.

I’m on the right track with this page content as the two concepts outlined above are precisely what I was talking about in my article. I found that the assistant is context sensitive so try scrolling through different sections of your article, particularly if it’s a long one to discover more concepts.

Google Assistant is now going beyond page topics and is starting to understand corporate entities, article length discussed, scientific topics and a completely new concept I made up myself (hypotext). The same works for people mentioned within your content, particularly if they’re notable or already have a place in Google’s knowledge graph.
